1. Application Process:
- Candidates must first apply for an Eligibility Assessment of qualifications through AVBC.
- Application forms are available on the AVBC website.
- Once eligibility is confirmed, candidates receive application forms for the Preliminary (MCQ) Examination.
- After passing the MCQ, candidates receive application forms for the Final (Clinical) Examination.
2. Deadlines:
- Applications for the Preliminary (MCQ) Examination close on February 8 each year.
- Applications for the Final (Clinical) Examination, usually held in November, close on September 1 each year.
3. Contact Maintenance:
- Eligible candidates must remain in contact with AVE and will receive emails about upcoming examinations and relevant forms.
- English language test results must be current at the time of the examination.
4. Examination Fees:
- Fees are payable in advance and cover only one attempt per examination.
- Fee details are available on the AVBC website or through the AVBC Office.
- Payment methods include direct transfer or credit card.
5. Withdrawal Fees: (at the time of writing/ may change every year)
- For the MCQ Examination:
- Withdrawal more than four weeks before the exam incurs a fee of AUD 760.
- Withdrawal less than four weeks before forfeits the entire fee unless a medical certificate is provided, in which case the AUD 760 fee applies.
- For the Clinical Examination:
- Withdrawal more than twelve weeks before the exam incurs a fee of AUD 1,900.
- Withdrawal less than twelve weeks before forfeits the entire fee.
- Withdrawal from a supplementary examination results in forfeiture of the total fee .
