Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the veterinary telehealth services ("Services"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship
A bona fide veterinary-client-patient relationship must be established, except in a tele-triage or emergency situation where direct contact is not possible.
Registration and Jurisdiction
The veterinarian providing the Services must be registered to practice in the state or territory where the patient is located, adhering to all relevant legislation.
Confidentiality and Data Protection
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal and your pet's medical information. All data will be handled in accordance with privacy laws and professional standards.
Service Limitations
Telehealth services are not a substitute for in-person veterinary care and are limited to consultation and advice. Medications cannot be prescribed based on telehealth consultation, recommendation and advice for the most appropriate measure will be discussed in the consult.
In case of emergency, contact your local vet or emergency centre for immediate medical attention of your pet.
Informed Consent
You will be fully informed about the limitations of telehealth and your consent will be obtained before proceeding with the Services. This consent will be documented in the veterinary patient record.
Medical Records
A complete and accurate medical record will be produced and retained for each consultation, in line with Veterinary Surgeons Board requirements¹.
Continuity of Care
Appropriate recommendations and measures will be made for the continuity of care for your pet, should subsequent direct veterinary care be required.
Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality telehealth services, we are not liable for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained from the use of this service.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the Services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of veterinary practitioners board of Victoria, the registration body of the veterinarian and the state where services to the animal will be provided.
Prescription Request
Scripts for medications can be provided for ongoing medications. A physical examination is required before the script can be provided. Regular vet rechecks and pathology will be needed for continuation of prescription filling.
